El Pais, the Spanish newspaper with the highest circulation in the country, has chosen Gregori Saavedra,  talented illustrator and director to bring his unique look to the daily headlines in this viral spot.

As a born Spaniard, Gregori took the challenge as a compliment, since he has been reading El Pais since he was 15 years old.

His minimalistic black and white illustrations and complex collages of places, people and happenings are staggered and assembled in new compositions narrating the state of the world as we find it today, just like completing a puzzle.

The outcome was as expected: original, interesting and oh-so Saavedra, making all 3 creative teams in Barcelona, Munich and London proud and happy!
