Renault is sponsoring the “Sportschau”, the famous German sports program, which has soccer as the main topic and runs once a week on the public German TV station ARD. In the two ‘7 trailers, Renault focuses on their electronic car line – the ZE (zero emission) car models. Nature is such a great fan of these eco-friendly companions, that it creates a typical, joyful “Mexican wave” as they drive by. The cherry trees jubilate swaying their branches, the sunflowers stretch their yellow “heads” and turn to the passing cars followed by a cheerful sound of a stadium crowd. Matthias Zentner directed the spots for GAP films and shot the cars in a ‘Maerklin’ landscapes in Slovenia. the animation of trees and plants was created and developed by the CFX department of velvet.film in a sophisticated process.
