Torture is used as an instrument of state power in many countries and is not as far away as we all might think. “Folteropfer” (torture victims) is a social project dedicated exactly to this subject and its victims made for the therapy centre of torture victims in Berlin, Germany. In this social spot, the agency Publicis proposed to create a metaphor for food, starting harmless in daily habits.
How close torture and daily practice are showing the increasing drama of the monotone routine. Subconsciousness and awareness in close relation to mind-bending in daily life. Habits need their rules. so the copy became a paragraph syntax…taken from the codes of a torture manual.
